that you decide. You can register a new domain with
us or transfer an existing domain to our servers.
Your visitors will be able to access your website
using either itsyourowndomain.com or www.itsyourowndomain.com.
Your Own Dedicated IP Address
(Standard and Premium Accounts Only)
A
static IP address means the IP address (the number assigned
to your site) never changes. A static IP address provides
your site with a never-changing solid address, which
allows you to use it when FTPing files, or pinging your
site, etc. During the registration or transfer process
you will be able to upload or create your website using
your IP address.
No Hassle Domain
Name Registration
Open a new account and, if you choose, we will automatically
register a new domain name for you for FREE! This can
save you up to $70 right from the start. When we say
free, we mean free. There are no further charges from

statistics and shopping carts

You can access your email from any computer with an
internet connection, anywhere in the world.
Check your email from home, from work, from your friend's
house, or anywhere there is a computer with internet
access. (great when your on vacations!)
Microsoft Front Page® Extensions for versions
98, 2000 & 2002
If you are using Microsoft Front Page® software
to create and maintain your website, you will need front
page extensions installed in order to use the full functionality
of front page. You can easily install front page extensions
at any time from within your web control panel. Of course,
if you need assistance, we can install them for you.
FTP Access (File Transfer Protocol):
FTP is a popular method used to "upload" your web site
files to your virtual server. You have unlimited access
to your virtual server via FTP 24-hours a day to set
up and maintain your Web site. You can work on HTML
documents, graphics, and scripts locally on your PC,
then upload those files to your Web site whenever your
ready.
Most web site design programs such as Adobe Pagemill,
Dreamweaver, GoLive, HomeSite, Netscape Communicator
and NetObjects Fusion use FTP to maintain your site.
Site Statistics
Track your hits, pageviews, most popular pages and
referral sites in an easy-to-use web stats program.
Just click on the 'site statistics' icon from within
your web control panel.
E-mail Addresses
Your
e-mail addresses are very flexible. You can set them
up as POP boxes which store mail, e-mail aliases which
redirect mail to another box, or as autoresponders.
You can instantly create easily add email addresses
anytime you want (yourchoices@itsyourowndomain.com).
E-Mail Auto Responders:
Autoresponders may be used to send automated responses
to incoming e-mail sent to a specific address. An autoresponder
could be used to send a standard message to persons
addressing information@yourowndomain.com for example.
You
can instantly create email auto-responders at anytime
you want (yourautoresponders@itsyourowndomain.com).
Your own CGI-bin:
All customers have access their own cgi-bin in which
you may place your own custom CGI scripts. CGI is often
used to accomplish tasks which are not supported by
basic HTML. You may use this directory to set up scripts
that you write or find elsewhere on the Web.
Data Transfer
This
is the amount of network traffic related to your site.
A large number of sites have less than 5000 Megabytes
of traffic per month, but popular sites could use many
times that.
Disk Space:
Disk space refers to the amount of server disk storage
your account is allocated. This space is used to store
your html files, graphics, audio clips, POP mail messages,
and all other files that make up your Web site.
File Manager
The
File Manager is a very powerful feature. It allows you
to manipulate all the files in your web site. You are
able to create, delete, and move your files. You can
also upload files from your local PC to the server in
File Manager. Plus, you can edit the HTML in any of
your files from this option. Everything you need to
manage your site can be found in this feature.
Cgi-Email
The
form-to-mail script takes the contents of a form submission
and e-mail's you the results to the address you specify.
Unlimited Graphical Page Access Counters
Our
access counter script can be installed on as many pages
as you choose at no extra charge. It will display the
number of visitors you have had to your web site.
Password Protected
Pages
You
can use the control panel to specify which users are
allowed to access certain pages on your site. When visitors
click on a certain URL, they are requested to enter
a username and password which you manage through the
control panel.
MySQL database
support
MySQL
is our GNU database of choice. Your MySQL database can
be accessed and managed through your control panel. |
